Many of the wasted kinds are edible, but they‚re not considered desirable. Bad fishing policy is, also to blame. In Europe, every state has a stipulation as to how much fish of a certain kind it is possible to fish. If the quota is exceeded, the excessive amount is thrown back to the sea.
